Boy does it make a difference. I only have a basic Craftsman table saw with standard blade, so I don't have any comparison as to what makes a fine cut. When I got this Freud blade I immediately liked the design and mounted it to my saw. Not only does it poroduce clean cuts, I could feed the workpiece easily without much resistance. A great product worth recommending.

This item, the Freud "D1040A," is the 10 pack and the Freud "D1040X" is the single blade. Prior to 11/17/2009, the item description on Amazon for the D1040A was correct and said:"Freud D1040A Diablo 10-Inch 40-Tooth ATB General Purpose Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor and PermaShield Coating, 10-pack"After 11/17/2009, someone edited the description and took off only "10-pack" in the description leaving the trailing comma at the end. The body of the description correctly identifies this as the Freud's 10 pack.I notified them twice via e-mail and three times on the phone about their error.For some reason, they will not fix or change this.If you purchase a D1040A, you will not receive what you ordered and will instead receive a single D1040X.

Good blade but Amazone sold this as a 19 pack, but only one was delivered, waiting patently for the other 9.

The diablo is a great general purpose blade. The thin kerf is nice, as well as the anti-vibration technology.
